He is calling to you...
Sit with Me.
Find sanctuary with Me.
Can one seek sanctuary in the midst of crammed calendars, turkey stuffing, and midnight shopping?
Yes, dear friend. Yes.
Slow. Pause. Stop.
And sit. With Him. He is your sanctuary.
Can you feel His breath on you?
Can you hear His whispers to you?
Breathe Him in.
When you seek sanctuary the lists, troubles, the hurts, and grief lighten...and simple joy comes.
He calls to you.
He will not relent.
Sit with Me.
Find sanctuary with Me.
May your soul find sanctuary and well up with overflowing gratitude for all that is..and for who He is.

As soon as I read the verse, Jeremiah 29:13, I was reminded of Jeremiah 31:3...That place of sanctuary is a place of everlasting love...He woos us and draws us with His lovingkindness. No matter what's on the calendar or in the oven, we can dwell in the sanctuary of His presence, the sanctuary of His everlasting love. I can go to that safe place and abide in His unconditional and everlasting love for me! Thank you Laura!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture to visualize your statement of seeking sanctuary, Laura. To be out with the Lord in the clean, fresh air instead of cramming myself into a house with lots to do, clean, decorate. When I am outside I remember...his righteousness, his perfectness, his beauty, his mercy, his grace. I'm reminded and grateful away from my distractions. If only for a moment, even, but in that moment, I am basking...in His glory.
