Just One Word

One word—

Faithful.

He just is.

Not because of anything I or you have done—no.

It’s just who He is.

He can’t not be—faithful.

Two words—

He knows

He just does.

He knows the answer…

And when to let you in on it.

He’s never late—

He just isn’t.

Three words—

You’re not alone.

Never.

He can’t stand to be away from you.

So, He won’t move…

He will stay.

And walk the journey with you.

One moment at a time.

And soon,

very soon,

you will look back only to see the pathway you traveled

led you closer—to Him.

Is the pathway you’re on leading you closer to Him?

Here or somewhere…be real.
Share your journey.

  2. Fabulous! Besides the amazing power of one, two, and three true words, the truth of God's character displayed here is breath-taking. God IS faithful. I love that you say he can't not be! So true. He can't go against His character. And the reminder that His knowledge and timing is perfect so speaks to this heart that wants answers NOW. Sooner rather than later. I'm reminded of Corrie Ten Boom whose father spoke to her on this topic. He said, Corrie, when we take a trip on a train, when do I give you your ticket? Do I give it to you a week in advance? A day in advance? No, I give it to you just before we get on the train. The same is true of God. He will meet us (provide for us; share His truth with us, etc.) in His perfect timing.

Is my pathway leading me closer to God? Most days yes. Some days no. Like the Footprints poem, when I feel as though He's left me, it's always me who has moved. He is, like you say, ever present, ever faithful, ever waiting and wanting more of me. (Thank you Lord, for your ever, always pursuit of me, a wretched sinner.)

  4. I'll be real. It's not easy when "flesh" treats you poorly, but my "one word" is not only faithful but loved! So maybe that's my "two words" faithfully loved! It's so comforting to know that my God is faithful, He knows the truth, and I am not alone! I can crawl up into His lap and hear Him say "you my child are beautifully and wonderfully made, you are who I made you to be, you are LOVED!"
